I'm back!

My vacation was wonderful - East coast, family, friends, lobster, steamers, Washington, DC; it couldn't have been better.

I finished another Aran afghan square and isn't it pretty? Fifteen down, five to go!

Georgann has finished her Lizard Ridge Afghan! She has also kindly let me hang it in the Shop so you've just got to stop by and see it. Rather than sewing each square together, she did a single crochet in black around each square to outline them. She then crocheted them together and put the border on - all in black. Isn't it spectacular?

I will offering this class again on Wednesday, September 17th at 6:30. You don't want to miss it. Once you get the hang of the technique, it knits up very fast.

The Fall yarn and books have arrived and to make room, the sale bins are full, full, full!

There's new sock yarn - Cherry Tree Hill Supersock.

The new Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince sock yarn from Opal is due in at the end of September!

Click for examples of new yarns from Tahki/Stacy Charles, Sublime, and Cascade.

I am most excited about the 30 colors of Jamieson's Spindrift, 100% Shetland wool, arriving on September 10! There will be lots of Fair Isle knitting happening here this Fall.

We're starting our Friday Knit Alongs again! Call the Shop for more information - 708.229.0061. These sessions are a fabulous end to the week and you'll learn lots in the process!
